Chinese term

保質期

Chinese to English Tech/Engineering
Big 5.
What's this in English, and how is it different from 保存期. Shelf-life? Validity? Text is food product labeling standards, PRC. Thanks.

My dictionary says...:

保质: ensure or guarantee the quality of a product: ~期 date stamping; use-by date

Well, you asked how is it from from 保存期... again, from my dictionary:

保存: preserve, conserve, keep, save ~期 retention period

My guess is that these words are used interchangably and both should be "Best Before:"
