Este verbo y nombre aparecen en varias combinaciones en un contrato:

whilst such ***leading counsel shall be instructed*** by the Purchaser, the Purchaser shall consult with the Vendors in compiling ***instructions to counsel*** and shall take into account the Vendor's reasonable representations with regard thereto. If and insofar as any representations of the Vendors are not taken into account in ***instructing counsel***, then the Vendors shall be entitled to make their own representations direct;

Entiendo que leading counsel, que se ha repetido anteriormente en el contrato es "abogado principal" o "letrado patrocinante". Mi problema es cómo traducir "counsel" cuando aparece como nombre y como verbo, ya no como adjetivo.
