French term

module de régulation piloté

French to English Tech/Engineering Automotive / Cars & Trucks
"module de régulation pilotée par protocole LIN" and "module de régulation à lampe" (it's a matter of an alternator-regulator):
What about my own suggestion:
"regulation module controlled by LIN protocol" and "lamp regulator"?
Proposed translations (English)
4 LIN-controlled regulator

Discussion

chris collister Aug 29, 2009:
controller As per Pierre's ref below, a more natural, and less verbose, expression would be "LIN-controlled module", or just "LIN-controller". The "protocol" is understood by the "LIN", and therefore redundant.
As for "régulation à lampe", a very long time ago the feedback in some valve amplifiers was controlled by a filament lamp, whose resistance varied significantly with current. It does seem unlikely that such a primitive solution would be used today, but perhaps the terminology has stuck??

LIN-controlled regulator

Cher Fifth,

J'ai trouve cette reference, j'espere qu'elle te sera utile:

International Rectifier (IR) recently introduced the local interconnect network (LIN)-controlled alternator-regulator for next-generation vehicles. IR’s solution optimizes performance in intelligent automotive charging systems for increased efficiency and improved fuel economy.
