Hi,
I was just wondering if there is something more "native English speaker" (USA, please) for the above than:
"end-of-study or post-graduation (post-graduate?) internship".
Any ideas?
(The text I'm working on is deliberately vague as to whether or not the "interns" receive pay, credentials, etc. The studies in question are university level. The overall context is strengthening microfinance institutions in Africa; the particular section where the "stages" come up is a discussion of staff problems/weaknesses and suggests more frequent recourse to such "stages".)
Any ideas would be welcome.
Thanks!

In the US, our college catalogs list "senior year or post-graduate internship"
Since you are dealing with an NGO situation (I work do a lot of work for one, too!), you might consider "senior year or post-graduate volunteer work/position" (usually includes a mention of number of weeks/months/years as part of the info)

Comment: "Thanks (again - I think you've already got me un-stuck a few times)!
I knew it'd come back to me (like a ton of bricks) if someone else would just say it... (Gosh, I hope I'm not alone in having that 'it's-*there*-but-just-out-of-reach-at-the-back-of-a-dusty-unused-vocabulary-drawer-in-my-brain' feeling!)"
