Haulier vs carrier

Tekst o procedurach obowiązujących w firmie transportowej. Mniemam, że tekstu nie pisał native, dlatego zastanawiam się, czy jedno i drugie może znaczyć to samo. Zastanawiające jest też, że "Haulier" niemal zawsze pisane jest wielką literą.
