Que signifie "long tails" ici. Contexte : opérations de fusions-acquisitions.
Additional pro-seller M&A deal structures included :
Limitation periods are shorter : deals with long tails dipped in 2014, with only 15% showing limitation periods exceeding 24 months.
Dans les archives, j'ai trouvé liquidation lente, mais dans le domaine de l'assurance.

longs tails = the events with a very low probability of occurrence. This concept comes from the distribution of a random variable, which is approximately a bell curve.
In this context, the random variable is the number of days it takes to close a deal. This number has a high probability of occurrence if it belongs to a specific interval on either side of the number's average, which I call the normal (d'habitude in French). Outside this specific interval, this number belongs to the long tails.
