single sheave with becket hook shackle polea simple con gancho (mosquetón) y arraigo Explanation: The question does not seem clear to me. A block has either a hook (on old-fashioned, traditional craft) or a shackle. the becket is at the other end. When it says hook shackle it may mean snap-shackle which is a hook-shaped shackle released by a spring pin. this seems likely but I suggest you check. Look on Acastillage Diffusion web page for blocks of all kinds. Do not confuse it with a snatch-block, which often carries a snap-shackle and is pasteca in Spanish. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 day21 hrs (2015-07-09 17:19:42 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Well, estrobo is wrong, because that is a kind of line that you attach to the arraigo or becket. I'd ask the client to clarify or send a picture. ;-) P Reference: http://www.ibiblio.org/hyperwar/USN/ref/Shiploading/index.ht... https://www.glen-l.com/free-book/rigging-small-sailboats-6.html |
