L’epigrafe a coronamento risale a Marzio III (1660-1703) ed era in origine sulla facciata, il testo fu redatto dall’antiquario ed erudita Matteo Egizio “Amicis et ne paucis pateat etiam fictis”. In origine l’iscrizione era all’ingresso del Palazzo, solo successivamente spostata all’interno del cortile in occasione del rifacimento della facciata alla metà del 1800.
