German term or phrase: Verlagerung des mittleren Treffpunkts
This involves a complaint in a legal document about a rifle not shooting straight because of the "Verlagerung des mittleren Treffpunkts bei wechselnden klimatischen Bedingungen". I am stuck on the "mittleren" actually...

I found "point of impact" for Treffpunkt. This point of impact shifts so it is no longer in the middle so I presume the translation must be:
"shifting of the central point of impact" or something along those lines?
Can anyone agree or improve, please ? THANKS !!
