Non-PRO English to Russian Art/Literary Poetry & Literature

This is being asked by a first generation American with Russian parents, to a Russian visitor when she is on holiday in America, and is to see what impression America has on the visitor (so, not 'find' as in 'найти').

My initial translation was "что ты думаешь об Америке," but I want it to be a more casual question, focusing more on the 'sense'/'feeling' this visitor would have about the country rather than on 'thought'.

Perhaps something like "как тебе кажется об Америке"? Let me know if this is on the right track, or if it needs more refining.
