Jack den Haan Jul 5, 2010:
Re: Thanks Jack You're welcome Casey. I added both options to the KOG, despite our apprehensions about their correctness.
Casey Dovale (asker) Jul 5, 2010:
Hi Jack, I asked the customer to elaborate on the suggestions some time ago and although I did get paid I received no answers addressing my query. Go ahead and enter 'slide holder' and maybe someone will have suggestions for this in the future. Thanks for your help!
Jack den Haan Jun 19, 2010:
Hi Casey, the fact that there is little or Internet support doesn't mean the terms are wrong. If you like, I'll add an additional answer for 'slide holder'. If you accept that, the translation could be added to the KudoZ Open Glossary. Anyone using the glossary entry would be able to take note of our apprehensions about it. As a matter of fact, it might even be worthwhile posting the question 'klapper met buigrollen' for glossary development purposes :-)
Casey Dovale (asker) Jun 19, 2010:
So would it be proper for me to withdraw this question Now?
Jack den Haan Jun 19, 2010:
There doesn't seem to much Internet support for this terminology Casey, but as always: "De klant is koning".
Casey Dovale (asker) Jun 18, 2010:
The client was away, and they finally got back to me today. Get this, a klapper with buigslede is a 'slide holder'. Klapper met buigrollen is a 'Roll holder'. Go figure... actually, I wonder if this is standard terminology, or could there be other terminology out there as well?
Jack den Haan Jun 16, 2010:
Hmm, 'klapper' seems to suggest folding. Cf. Grote Van Dale: klappen = omslaan, kleppen, vouwen, scharnieren. If there is no folding operation in the machine, it might be wise to ask the client for an explanation.
Casey Dovale (asker) Jun 16, 2010:
Jack, you answer seems plausible to me, but there are pictures throughout the manual, and it is clearly for tubing only.

folding jig with bending carriage or bender

Declined
Not quite sure Casey, but sounds like a machine capable of both folding and bending.

(3) Folding and assembly
We can fold V-grooved panels with a folding jig in the same manner as ACM panels. To produce a tray type panel (rout & return panel), we normally groove the panel at 25mm from edges, remove the four corners by notching tool and fold the four sides. After assembly, the corners are sealed with sealant from backside to prevent from water penetration, if necessary.
(4) Bending with press brake
We use press brake or 3-roll bender for bending. In bending with press brake, use a top die having almost the same radius as the final bending radius. The smallest bendable limit is approx. 100mmR. In bending with press brake, edges tend to extend like a saddle. Confirm the curved shape with pre-testing.
