Ik denk dat men dat bedoelt. In feite bestaat alles wat de computer doet uit hele kleine basishandelingen, die allen één klokpuls nodig hebben. In assembler (basisprogrammeertaal) werk je met deze zogenaamde mnemonics, of nog "lager" codes van 8, 16 of 32 nullen en enen. Omdat de relatie met een klokpuls hier zo "tastbaar" is, spreekt men soms van het klokken van de handelingen, dat wil zeggen het verwerken van de gegevens. Doorklokken lijkt me dus te betekenen dat de informatie wordt verzonden. Mogelijk duidt het klokken ook op de draagpuls van het signaal. Je kunt het ook vertalen met "process" (verwerken) wanneer je niet zeker weet dat het om verzenden gaat. |
