El término aparece en un artículo sobre una empresa de helicópteros que realiza transportes entre plataformas petrolíferas y de éstas con tierra. Sé que se refiere al transporte dentro del área del yacimiento petrolífero, pero no sé si existe un término más específico. Gracias.

Mejor la expresión latina, que es breve y el DRAE la contempla.
"Shuttling" efectivamente es transportar en trayectos cortos y regulares, como hace el helicóptero.
