agree  Roddy Stegemann: Deterministic processes are processes with no stochastic elements. Any other translation is likely to be inaccurate. This is a very standard pairing of scientific methodology.

  -> i.e. "stochastic" (random) - I have no control and cannot determine them, whereas I can determine "deterministic" processes.....
agree  blomguib (X): I agree with the translation, however, not with the definition you gave of stochasticity. I deal with stochastic processes every day and the mathematicaaly correct definition is somewhat more complicated
