Explanation:
just would like to add that none of the versions is really incorrect.
Dollar bills is in fact the common way of saying it and its particular to the USA currency.
You wouldnt't say for example a 10 pound (sterling) bill, but a 10 pound note.
You can also say dollar notes although it is less common than bills...

In fact it is up to you but I agree with the colleague that refers it as cash. What is meant in the original document is that the payment shall be done in cash. I would probably translate it as... to be paid in USD cash ( or US Dollars cash.)
