Japanese to English: 黄砂

Translation - English
The meteorological phenomenon known as "Asian Dust" or "Yellow Dust" is thought to occur due to the incidence of fugitive dust arising from damaged earth, sand storms and other dust carrying air currents. The frequency at which it occurs is affected by seasonal variations; for instance, as spring creates the necessary conditions described above there is a higher rate of incidence and a tendency for the dust to be carried over comparatively longer distances. That is not to say however that Asian Dust does not occur at all in the Autumn and Winter months, when it is less frequent.

The clouds of dust arising from the "Asian Dust" phenomenon settle across national boundaries and cause varying degrees of damage according to season and geographical location. The pollution and dirtying of the interior and exterior of buildings, obscuring of the sun, reduced vision and health problems attributed to livestock and humans having inhaled the dust are examples of some of the damage the dust clouds cause.

Bio
Personal Summary
I am a skilled freelance translator, proof reader and interpreter working primarily from Japanese into English. I have extensive experience working professionally in Japanese in a variety of situations which has given me the ability to understand and interpret the language in context. I am fast, efficient and reliable.

Summary of professional experience
3 years working full time as an in house translator, interpreter, teacher and advisor at Yanagawa (Private) High School, Japan. I was responsible for all Japanese to English translations and proof reading in the ICC International Department. I also managed 6 classes of high school students and was the sub-homeroom teacher for all three years of the ICC Department. I provided interpreting to guests visiting the school, as well as at job interviews and public events in which the school was involved. I also was involved in translating and presenting a business plan to a major international company*. Many of my classes were taught almost entirely in Japanese, including high-level grammer classes.
