About the Artist
Melanie Wilson is a London based performer, writer and sound artist who has been widely commissioned and has collaborated extensively with artists and companies both in the UK and abroad. Melanie is co-founder of Patter She is also one half of experimental folk duo Lindsey Woolsey, for whom she scored, arranged and produced their debut album ‘Black Veined White’. Melanie’s most recent show ‘Iris Brunette’ toured the UK to wide critical acclaim, winning Best Production at the Dublin Festival 2009.
Just occasionally you come across a show on the fringe that's innovative, startling and ever so slightly indefinable. For me, Simple Girl is it. The Scotsman ****

Frank Nuovo, Principal Designer for Vertu, found the inspiration for the limited edition Signature Rock by first looking back at his own youth as a musician and artist; and later reflecting on his own experiences with long-time acquaintances from the worlds of music, fashion and art. This convinced Nuovo to create what can be seen as a tribute to the ‘rocker’ and the artistic expression which has influenced so many around the world. Signature Rock celebrates the unashamed decadence of that extraordinarily cultural expression called Rock’n’Roll. The design evokes the emotions of dramatic music, lyrics and personalities that helped define a generation.
