翻译文本 - English英语 Entrance Hall:
Located in the C4 Exhibition Hall, the Entrance Hall stands at the height of 50.1 meters and is enclosed by white walls fitted with drawers of various lengths. Winds blowing from within the drawers send thousands of pieces of paper aloft, lending the site an air of frozen beauty. Paper is conventionally considered the medium for the transmission of knowledge and culture, and drawers symbolize the key to ancient Chinese wisdom. Our story unfolds at the moment when the drawers are pulled open.
Wind inside the hall makes tangible the existence of qi, the very essence of the Great Ultimate (Tai Ji), which otherwise remains totally invisible to the eye (sound effect: winds blow over slips of paper).
Five triangular prisms hang from the ceiling, representing water, wood, fire, earth and metal—the five elements that the world is believed to be made of. Inside each prism there is a mirror, by which a laser beam is reflected to link the five elements together. Lights reflected from the mirrors are specially arranged to spotlight totems of the Chinese nation on the floor.
Here, every single piece of paper is a testament to the wisdom of ancient Chinese people.

Greetings! Welcome to Zhujiajiao, one of the best historic towns Shanghai has to offer! Pudong has witnessed the city’s dramatic development during the last decade, and the Huangpu River is the place where you’ll find evidence of the trials and tribulations endured by people in Shanghai some 100 years ago. But if you’re interested in finding out how the Shanghai culture evolved in a broader historical context, then a visit to Zhujiajiao will prove to be well worth your time. Here, you’ll get a real taste of what is known in Chinese as jiangnan feng jing (literally translated into English as “scenery in the south of the Yangtze River”)—from lovely tranquil lakes and ancient stone bridges to Ming and Qing-style buildings and, of course, age-old local folklore…all contributing to a sweeping picturesque view against a background where the air is filled with the sense of traditional local customs, totally unaffected by the hustle and bustle of the big city.
Are you ready? Then come with me and check it out for yourself!
Overview
Before you start exploring this historic town, let me give you a brief idea of what you can expect during your visit.
Situated in the western suburbs of Shanghai next to Dianshan Lake, the largest freshwater lake in Shanghai, Zhujiajiao is crisscrossed by rivers and boasts a superb geographical position which explains, in part, its long and glorious local culture. As early as 6,000 years ago, people at Zhujiajiao built a renowned civilization known as Song Ze Culture. Approximately 1,000 years ago, a densely populated market appeared in Zhujiajiao, and roughly 400 to 500 years ago, the market was widely known for its booming cotton and cloth business, with Zhujiajiao being dubbed the “world’s cloth maker”. Over 300 years ago, rice dealers built up an industry in Zhujiajiao and brought about prosperity to the area. The late 1800s and early 1900s witnessed the emergence of modern capitalism in Zhujiajiao represented by post offices, banks, lamp factories and estate agents, etc.
The buildings you see in Zhujiajiao today were mostly built during the Ming (1368-1664) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties. The buildings spread out along both sides of the area’s rivers, resulting in the present layout of the town consisting of nine ancient stone streets and a total of 36 stone bridges. These streets and bridges have remained in place for hundreds of years, and together with efforts made by local people, they will preserve the character and original local culture of Zhujiajiao for future generations.
Chinese汉语译成English英语: 二氧化氯气体亚急性吸入毒性研究/STUDY ON THE SUBACUTE INHALATION TOXICITY OF CHLORINE DIOXIDE GAS General field: 医学 Detailed field: 生物学(生物技术、生化、微生物)
翻译文本 - English英语 According to relevant research findings[7], chlorine dioxide can effectively kill bacteria and viruses, without causing damage to organisms-both animals and plants. This is attributable to the fact that bacteria and viruses are prokaryotic organisms, which means their enzyme systems are mostly distributed near the surface of cell membrane and are, therefore, susceptible to external attack; in contrast, enzyme systems of animals and plants-as eukaryotes-are well protected within the organelles of cells, making them less likely to be oxidized after exposure to chlorine dioxide. Organisms can be ranked in order of susceptibility to chlorine dioxide as follows: acellular viruses > unicellular prokaryotic organisms (bacteria) > unicellular eukaryotic organisms > multi-cellular eukaryotes > higher animals and plants. Results of this experiment indicate that the minimum effective concentration of chlorine dioxide can be increased 100 times without causing obvious damages to rats and other higher animals and plants.
