Since graduating in 1992, I have clocked up 25 years crafting translations in science and medicine, the arts and humanities. I have taught undergraduate and postgraduate courses in translation, deliver regular workshops for professional translators and provide language consultancy services for organizations and individuals. I am fascinated by language and life, and I bring this enthusiasm to every job.
I am an ITIA Certified Legal Translator for German-English and Spanish-English.
I am an experienced and confident Conference Interpreter for Spanish-English and English-Spanish.
I studied translation at Dublin City University, receiving a prestigious scholarship from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) in 1990. I graduated with 1st Class Honours in Applied Languages (Spanish & German) in 1992, since when I have worked continually as a freelance translator and interpreter, initially in Barcelona, Spain (5 years), and subsequently in my home town of Dublin, Ireland.
