English to Vietnamese: Two-Implant Mandibular Overdentures: Simple to Fabricate and Easy to Wear

All subjects were participants in a controlled clinical trial conducted in the faculty of dentistry, McGill University, Montreal, Que. Sixty patients were selected for the project from a cohort of healthy subjects over 65 years of age who responded to newspaper advertisements. All subjects had been edentulous in both jaws for at least 10 years and needed new dentures. Thirty of the patients were randomly assigned to receive implant overdentures, and the other 30 subjects were assigned to receive conventional complete dentures. In this report, the groups are compared only in terms of the occurrence of postinsertion pressure spots; need for adjustments or repairs to the implant components are not reported here. The same protocol was used for fabrication of the implant overdentures and the conventional complete dentures in terms of preparation of impressions, determination of the occlusal relationship, and placement of the dentures; the schedule for follow-up visits was also the same for both groups. | Translation - Vietnamese
Nghiên cứu thử nghiệm lâm sàng có nhóm chứng được thực hiện tại khoa Nha, ĐH McGill, Montreal, Quebec. 60 người được chọn từ dân số khỏe mạnh trên 65 tuổi và tự nguyện tham gia khi đọc quảng cáo trên báo. Tất cả đối tượng tham gia đều mất răng toàn bộ hai hàm ít nhất 10 năm và có nhu cầu làm hàm giả mới. 30 bệnh nhân được chọn ngẫu nhiên để thực hiện hàm phủ trên implant, và 30 bệnh nhân còn lại được thực hiện hàm giả bình thường. Trong bài báo cáo này, các nhóm chỉ được so sánh trên tiêu chí là sự xuất hiện của các vị trí trên niệm mạc sống hàm bị đè nén quá mức khi mang hàm giả.
