Source text - English The Taipei 101 (Chinese: 台北101; pinyin: Táiběi yī líng yī; stylized as TAIPEI 101),[1] formerly known as the Taipei World Financial Center (臺北國際金融中心), is a supertall skyscraper designed by C.Y. Lee and C.P. Wang in Xinyi, Taipei, Taiwan. This building was officially classified as the world's tallest from its opening in 2004 until the 2010 completion of the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, UAE.
Its elevators, capable of traveling 60.6 km/h (37.7 mph) and used to transport passengers from the 5th to 89th floor in 37 seconds, set new records upon completion.[12] In 2011 Taipei 101 received a Platinum rating under the LEED certification system to become the tallest and largest green building in the world.[13][14] The structure regularly appears as an icon of Taipei in international media, and the Taipei 101 fireworks displays are a regular feature of New Year's Eve broadcasts.
Taipei 101's postmodernist architectural style evokes traditional Asian aesthetics in a modern structure employing industrial materials. Its design incorporates a number of features that enable the structure to withstand the Pacific Ring of Fire's earthquakes and the region's tropical storms. The tower houses offices and restaurants as well as both indoor and outdoor observatories. The tower is adjoined by a multilevel shopping mall that has the world's largest ruyi symbol as an exterior feature.
Taipei 101 is owned by Taipei Financial Center Corporation. The skyscraper opened on 31 December 2004 to celebrate New Year's Eve.

Source text - English Being proactive means assuming liability for your own life. The
acknowledgment of your conduct is a choice you make, not
something constrained by outside powers. It is recognizing
that being dependable does not mean a great deal if you are
not accountable to yourself. Letting physical or social
conditions direct your activities and decisions will pull you
down. Receptive individuals rely upon outside contribution to
react; proactive individuals react to their environment
according to their own chosen qualities. They are as yet
influenced by outside improvements, yet their reactions are
increasingly viable towards everything around them.

Source text - English Learning to think differently and work differently requires us to understand our own biases. Most of us have been conditioned to rely on statistics, our own expertise, and precedence to help us solve problems. What is more likely to support problem-solving, however, is deriving novel ideas after deeply understanding the root problem. Overall, we are more able to be creative when we lift the constraints of old ways of thinking and working.
