Danke für Dein Interesse an meiner Arbeit. Ja, ich versuche gerne zusammenzufassen, was es damit auf sich hat:
Am Anfang des Kunststudiums habe ich mich skulptural und installativ damit beschäftigt, welche unwillkürlichen Beziehungen zwischen Betrachter*innen, dem Umraum, und meinen Arbeiten entstehen können. Fehlende finanzielle Mittel für Material und ein Mangel an Lagerfläche haben mich unsanft dazu gebracht, auch die Umstände und Bedingungen meiner künstlerischen Produktion zu bedenken, zu behandeln und schließlich zum Teil meiner Arbeiten werden zu lassen.
In der Malereiserie Factor, Age & Means (F-A-M) werden private wie finanzielle Vestrickungen zum Hintergrund für Farbe und Formen auf der Leinwand. Der kompositorische Aufbau wird angestoßen von einem Referenzsystem aus persönlichen Daten und wertrelevanten Parametern. Als Repräsentanten der durch ihre Bildtitel markierten Zeitabschnitte, bezeugen die einzelnen Bilder, wenngleich codiert

den eigenen finanziellen (Miss)erfolg als Malerin.
Gemalte Latexflächen wie in o.T. (step forward) entziehen sich einer Einordnung in eine konkrete künstlerische Disziplin, sobald sie als elastische Bildfläche zum Körper im Raum werden. Losgelöst von einem Bildträger, bestehend lediglich aus Pinselstrichen.
Sie werden gehalten und nehmen zugleich Haltung ein, werden in Position gespannt und setzen sich doch in Bewegung. Die Malerei wird in den Raum hinein abstrahiert, nimmt ihn dort in sich auf, wo die Pinselstriche durch Zugkraft bersten. Die Komposition springt durch die Windung der Bildfläche über in die dritte Dimension.
Trotz aller Ambitionen, Malerei und Skulptur in sich zu vereinen, entzieht sich die Realität des Materials - der unausweichliche Zerfall des Latex - letztendlich deren Anspruch an Dauerhaftigkeit; konservatorisch gesehen sind die Arbeiten ephemer.
Jetzt, kurz vor dem Ende meines Studiums, will ich meine Möglichkeiten von und in der Kunstproduktion durch neue Modi in der Sommerakademie Salzburg weiterdenken und dehnen.

Thank you for your interest in my work. Yes, I’d love to summarize what it’s about:
In the beginning of my art studies my focus was mainly on involuntary effects and reactions between the viewers, the space and my pieces, which at that time consisted mainly of sculptures and installations. A lack of financial means for materials as well as a shrinking availability of storage space, lead me to an uneasy awakening towards the circumstances and conditions governing artistic practice. Reflecting these factors started to influence and eventually became part of my work.
In the painting series Factor, Age & Means (F-A-M) private and financial entanglements become the backdrop for color and form on the canvas. The compositions are stimulated by a reference system consisting of personal data as well as different parameters connected to value generation. Each painting is titled after the respective time-frame it depicts. Albeit in a coded manner, the paintings bear testimony to

my (lack of) financial success as a painter.
Painted latex membranes as in Untitled (step forward) evade a categorization into one artistic discipline. By turning into being elastic paintings, they become body in space. Detached from any base surface, they consist of nothing but brushstrokes.
They are being torn apart while assuming posture; they are being restrained, though striding forward. The painting itself is being abstracted into space; the space in turn is assimilated by the painting wherever the brushstrokes are burst apart from traction. The composition, through the twisting of the image, jumps into the third dimension.
Despite all ambitions to unite painting and sculpture, the pieces cannot fulfill those disciplines’ shared claim of longevity. They are bound to the inevitable decay of latex; from a conservatory viewpoint, these works are ephemeral.
Now that I am about to to graduate, I want to expand and evolve my understanding of and approach to art production at the International Summer Academy of Salzburg.
