Source text - Spanish Las 148 familias que participaron en los talleres de agroecologia ahora cuentan con productos sanos; los talleres de diversificacion de cultivos nos permitio ver con claridad que existen en las parcelas una diversificacion de cultivos que permite mejorar la dieta alimenticia; se han recuperado plantas nativas de las comunidades como el chile, tomate de cascara, mostaza, bledo, etc. El problema es que son solo cultivos de temporal; en tiempo de seca no se producen; de esta situacion nace la idea de poder encontrar alternativas en sistemas de captacion de agua.
Translation - English The 148 families who took part in the agro-ecology workshops are now cultivating healthy produce; the crop-diversification workshops clearly showed us that crop diversification in plots of land leads to a healthier diet; plants which are native to the communities, such as chilli, physalis, mustard, amaranth, etc, have been recovered. The problem is that they’re seasonal crops only; in dry periods they don’t grow. As a result of this situation, the idea of searching for alternatives within water-gathering systems was born.
