Bio
I am a native Serbian speaker and an English language teacher. But I also have 20 years of freelancing experience. I started translating for my sister and her colleagues while they were still students of medicine. Later I used the working routine I adopted while translating literature related to medicine, and that is research and learn to provide a translation that is meaningful, consistent and
contains proper terminology.
The last time I decided to upskill, and it was 7 years ago, I tried subtitling and transcription, mastered some new programs, learned to use the ones that companies provide through their online platforms and this way expanded my scope of services. I decided to use corona time and upskill again so I learned to use SDL, InDesign and I am currently working on learning Photoshop and Illustrator. I was always interested in software and I master new ones easily.
Besides Serbian, I speak Montenegrin too. The two languages used to be two dialects of Serbian, but after the union fell apart in 2006, Montenegro changed the name of the language. Being born in a marriage between Montenegrin father and Serbian mother enabled me to speak and write both flawlessly.
