The purpose was to understand the mechanisms of communication when it comes to ads aiming to better quality for texts involving advertisement literature

*2006 - Adaptation and scriptwriting
The purpose was to better understand various registers of language and adaptation of written literature into images

* 2007 - NLP (Neuro-linguistic Programming)
An entirely new subject which opened up a new area of expertise and an additional qualification for my writing skills

* 2008 - Web writing
On-line seminar in Italian
The purpose of this is to gain acquaintance with the translation and even composition of texts specifically structured for the uses of the internet, familiarize with the html code and the application of such code into tag-editor (trados) when translating a website.

* 2009 - Trados professional training received through courses organized by SDL’s official dealer in Greece at the company's premises. Despite me being a regular use of trados since the beginning of my carrier. I decided to combine my self-taught experience with the full professional training.

** 2010 - This was a year of a great change for me since my son was born and I have dedicated my full attention to him.

* 2011 - Since the beginning of the present year I have become increasingly interested in the e-marketing and the social network marketing. To this end, I have been attending various webinars on blogging, e-marketing and social network.

* 2011 (October) - E-marketing Seminar
The purpose of the seminar was to better understand the complexity of the language and the application of e-marketing into all aspects of a professional life

Personal guidelines

I have been working as a full-time freelance translator since 1999.
Throughout my professional life I have come to the conclusion that a linguist professional has to adhere to some basic yet very important guidelines which not only guarantee the quality of the translation project delivered but also provide a solid base for long term professional relationships which is the key to success for both sides.
The basic rules I personally endorse are the following:

• Commitment to quality
I never undertake a project unless I am fully confident I can deliver a high quality translation

• Commitment to deadlines
Deadlines are of high importance to me as they are to my client. Keeping deadlines guarantee smooth work flow for me and my partners

• Confidentiality
In the age of information, confidentiality is one of the most important rules a professional linguist should adhere to.
