About me
Spanish to English Translator

I translate from the heart of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado and offer exceptional service and quality. I enjoy working for translation agencies and also have local clients that I work for directly. I base my translation work on a love for the grammar, flow and beauty of the English and Spanish languages.

Translation-related Education
Certificate in Translation at New York University, completed May 2009.
Master's in Spanish Linguistics, New Mexico State University, expected completion 2013.

My specializations include academic writing, legal documents, contracts, commercial and financial documents, travel and tourism, official documents and court-required paperwork, international and development organization materials and education-related documents. I have extensive experience working with documents from the following countries: Spain, Mexico, Ecuador, Costa Rica.

Professional Organizations
I am a member of the American Translators Association and the Colorado Translators Association. I have attended professional conferences offered by both organizations (ATA Denver in 2010 and the CTA Mid-year conference in 2011)
I am an Adjunct Professor of Spanish at Colorado Mountain College in Carbondale, Colorado, and also work as the Study Abroad Coordinator for Summer Spanish Immersion for the College. As an educator, I am an active member of the American Council of Teachers of Foreign Languages and am a Certified Teacher in the state of Colorado, USA.
I am an active alumnus of Teach for America, an Americorps Program.
