Can we have an option to disable these Trados ads if we already have Trados? Or am I the only one all that flashing red and white is driving round the bend?

Regards

Mary

Same here, Mary... Mar 19, 2002

Even a simple color change would help!

Don't get me wrong ... Mar 24, 2002

I have no objections to advertisements in general on the site. I understand that advertising is a necessary source of revenue. It is just the flashing red and white of the current Trados ads is very aggressive and disruptive.

See, Andrea, I\'m getting the hang of these emoticons !

Try clicking on "Stop" Mar 26, 2002

Mary,

Once the page has fully loaded, you can try clicking on the \"Stop\" button - that should stop the flashing...

Clicking stop halts all animation! Jun 11, 2002

Thanks for the tip, Ralf.

And the best thing is, it also works for those animated GIFs some people have instead of portraits; they\'re cute, but after a while they, too, get under your (my) skin!

It\'s a question of temperament, I suppose, so it\'s nice to have the option.

What I was referring to is the \"Stop\" button in your browser - if you\'re using IE, this is usually the third button on your \"Standard\" task bar, and is identified by a red button with a white cross in it.

ZoneAlarm Jun 21, 2002

If you get the *free* ZoneAlarm firewall program for your computer, you can now choose to block ads (from all of the Websites you access) and cookies. There are various settings for this plus a bunch of other good security features.

See www.zonelabs.com

PS I am not associated with them in any way, just a satisfied user.
