You may want to leave it in French. This kind of bet doesn't really exist in Britain. The way the French bet on horses is very different. It's almost done as if it were a lottery (a bit like the football pools in the UK). When they read the results they read the numbers, not the horses. And like in the lottery, there are different types of combinations you can win with.
