German term
Beanspruchungsdauer von 5.000 Touren
German to English
Tech/Engineering
Textiles / Clothing / Fashion
textile testing
Die Prüfung erfolgt nach DIN EN ISO 12945-2 mit einer Beanspruchungsdauer von 5.000 Touren und einer Vorbehandlung von 5 Wasch- und Trocknungsbehandlungen nach ISO 15797.
Although I have found lots of sites mentioning this Standard, they vary in whether they use "cycles" "treatments", "revs" etc. I thought of starting a new sentence for Beanspruchungsdauer to make it slightly less clumsy, e.g.
"The test is carried out in accordance with DIN x. The fabric is subjected to testing for 5,000 *cycles* and a pretreatment of 5 washing and drying procedures."
I would welcome any other suggestions either for Touren or how to phrase Beanspruchungsdauer here (I have looked at the previous query on ProZ).

stress duration of 5000 cycles
Although I'd be inclined to use the less literal translation of 'test duration' or just 'duration' (testing implies imposing a stress more or less by definition). In any case, IMO you should definitely use 'cycles' here.
