Old Danish psalm
The first line of an old Danish psalm by H. A. Brorson.
I'm looking for an OFFICIAL English translation of this old Danish psalm. "Den yndigste rose er fundet" is the official Danish name of this psalm.
I am NOT looking for a plain olde translation, I can do that myself.
Thank you,
Nanna Mercer

A Great and Mighty Wonder
Declined
See the english version,
from the German 'Es ist ein Ros'.
1. A great and mighty wonder
A full and holy cure!
The Virgin bears the Infant
With virgin-honour pure.
2. The Word becomes Incarnate,
And yet remains on high:
And Cherubyn sing anthems
To shepherds from the sky.
3. And we with them triumphant
Repeat the hymn agen:,
“To God on high be glory,
And peace on earth to men.”
4. While thus they sing your Monarchy
Those bright angelick bands,
Rejoice, ye vales and mountains,
Ye oceans, clap your hands.
5. Since all he comes to ransom,
By all be he adored,
The Infant born in Beth’lem,
The Saviour and the Lord.
6. And [1] idol forms shall perish,
And error shall decay,
And Christ shall wield his sceptre;
Our Lord and God for aye.

Comment: "Hi Lone,
I am sorry, but as far as I can see, this is the translation for: En rose så jeg skyde, op af den frosne jord...
I believe the right translation is in the link, I supplied in my comment to Bill.
Thank you,
Nanna"

And, by the way, we cannot see you comment for Bill, I guess, because I cannot see the link you are talking about, so it might be the same one I just found ;o)

Discussion
Thank you for your help.
Strictly speaking: Bill's answer is not correct.
However, having searched the net and not found what I was looking for, I followed the link Bill provided and found other links that led me to the answer, which is: Now Found is the Fairest of Roses.
Since the link Bill provided helped me find what I was looking for, I felt it both right and ethical to award him one point.
Greetings,
Nanna Mercer
