French to English translations [PRO]
Law/Patents - Law: Contract(s) / Partnership contract
French term or phrase: La Catégorie
Phrase features in a "Contrat de Services Distincts", generally speaking a partnership agreement, between two companies. One company party is referred to throughout as "La Catégorie" and the other as "Le Fournisseur" (The Supplier). The purpose of the agreement sets out the terms for services that "La Catégorie" will provide to The Supplier.

This term seems to be a legal one in this context which could be used for any company providing these services, rather than a term used in connection with the particular "supplying" company in this contract. That said, I can't seem to find similar use of it anywhere. My only (imperfect) suggestion so far is something like "The Subject" since the services that this company will provide are the main focus of the contract.

Any help much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Thanks Robert. Although I don't think the context was quite right, you got me thinking in the right direction.

Notes to answerer
Asker: Have had a skim through these docs, but I don't get the sense that a company could be a "category" in this context. Also this field seems a bit too technical in comparison to the content and subject area of the contract.

Asker: Only one company is referred to as "La Catégorie" so I don't think this fits.

Explanation:
It often translates as "class" in legal documents but I am at a loss as to how this would fil in!
