Termin ten używany jest w pismach/dokumentach procesowych i ubezpieczeniowych w związku z roszczeniem z tytułu szkód będących wynikiem zalania domu. Nasuwający się termin 'przyłącze wodociągowe' chyba nie bardzo tu pasuje. Oto fragment pisma:
"(...) the water leak was caused by a faulty steel braided water supply line with brass adapter. (...) the water supply line with the brass adapter was manufactured by XXX and marketed by YYY. The photographs of the areas of property damage are enclosed in the attached disk of photographs. ZZZ alleges that inspection of the property by its expert indicates the water supply line and brass adapter were negligently and defectively made and sold and such negligence is the sole cause of the alleged water damage."
