I think you are right that there is no English translation. I have found the following:
"Furthermore, the intrusion is reflected on pedological maps, since the former Heete channel is filled with younger marine sediments rich in calcium carbonate, while the adjacent areas are formed by the so-called “Knickmarsch”, which is an older decalcified soil with a dense clayey layer (Fig. 1)."
