Je verrais plus "remote" comme un nom que comme un adjectif, mais dans le document il y peut-être une indication permettant de savoir si la luminosité est réglable à distance ou s'il existe une télécommande ou un émetteur/récepteur distant

The 'remote' might be 'déporté', but it's impossible to tell without knowing the context; you really ought to ask your customer for clarification of what these otherwise potentially meaningless (or ambiguous) expressions actually signify.

Here, what it's important to know is whether this is intended to control / adjust something, and if so, whether it is a remote control for the brightness of something local, or rather, a local adjustment for the brightness of something remote. You bein to see the problem?

In fact, I doubt that this would be setting the brightness of a remote radio; that seems extremely unlikely to me!
I strongly suspect that it meanss 'setting the brightness of the remote control' — for night driving, for example, it might be important to dim the panel lights (as on many modern cars), and if the radio consists of a fixed part and a remote-control part, then you might well need to set the brightness of both components.
I'd be very wary here!
