Spanish term or phrase: pasillo circundante
Hi Everyone!

This text is from a Spanish architetcure firm describing some of their projects. The client wants a universal English.

This particular part describes the refurbishment of the R&D department of a factory.

Una planta diáfana, que concentra a la mayoría de trabajadores, *un pasillo circundante* que permita la libre circulación de los empleados, unas áreas de encuentro flexibles y versátiles, la iluminación natural de todas las actividades de la nave...

According to the photos I have and the description by the client: Se refiere a un pasillo en el perímetro de la zona de trabajo.

I had thought of overhead walkway, but that's not correct. It is overhead, in a sense, because there is no ceiling between the ground floor and the first floor (where this is located). It looks like a type of catwalk almost, but affixed to the wall with offices and work stations underneath. Can anyone think of a good term for this? surrounding walkway maybe?

Thanks for your help in advance.

disagree  Rob James: I apologize for disagreeing, and realize this isn't about trans theory, just think that inventing a novel phrase for items which have standard industrial trans options in EN, using refs which do not support is not correct. Happy client = all that matters.

-> I think in light of the client accepting the phrase, I am due an apology for your impolite comment, even though it may be difficult for you to admit that you are wrong.
