Es geht um modulare Brückensysteme aus Stahl, die im vorliegenden Fall für militärische Zwecke eingesetzt werden.

"The parapets are a propietary system consisting of vertical posts and longitudinal rails. [...] They provide a continuous barrier between the traffic and bridge trusses. [...] parapet movement joints within rails should be kept free."

Klassischerweise handelt es sich bei parapets um Brückenkappen. Bei Kappen denke ich allerdings an Beton, weniger an die Definition oben, die posts (Pfosten) und rails (Träger) beinhaltet. Die Frage ist, ob in diesem spezifischen Kontext von modularen Stahlbrücken auch von Kappen geredet werden kann, oder ob hier Brüstung o.ä. zutreffender ist. Was meint ihr?
