differential
"le signal reçu comporte l’un parmi QPSK, QPSK différentiel, QBL-MSK, 8-PSK, 8-PSK différentiel, π/4-QPSK, π/4-QPSK différentiel, BPSK ou BPSK différentiel."
The receiver of claim 18 wherein the baseband signal is one of QPSK, differential QPSK, QBL-MSK, 8-PSK, differential 8-PSK, rc4-QPSK, or differential TT/4-QPSK.
"Récepteur de la revendication 18, dans lequel le signal de bande de base est choisi parmi QPSK, QPSK différentiel, QBL-MSK, 8-PSK, 8-PSK différentiel, π4-QPSK ou π/4-QPSK différentiel."
je voudrais vérifier si le mot "differntial" se rapporte au signal ou non ?

May 15, 2015 15:51: Tony M changed "Field (specific)" from "Patents" to "Telecom(munications)" , "Field (write-in)" from "A method for a receiver of correcting phase error of a phase shift keyed, PSK, signal," to "(in a patent) A method for a receiver of correcting phase error of a phase shift keyed, PSK, signal,"

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.
How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:
An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)
A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).
Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.
When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.
* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

"Le Phase-shift keying (ou PSK, soit « modulation par changement de phase1 ») désigne une famille de formes de modulations numériques qui ont toutes pour principe de véhiculer de l'information binaire via la phase d'un signal de référence (porteuse), et exclusivement par ce biais."

: Qu'il soit dit en passant que "modulation par changement de phase" doit être 'modulation par déplacement de phase" (PSK (en) --> MDP (fr)).

Discussion
For example (en --> fr):
PSK --> MDP
QPSK --> MDP4
differential QPSK (D-QPSK) --> MDP différentiel (MDP-D) (your question here)
QAM --> MAQ (although that one is not in your ST)
etc. etc.
I suggest you ask your client whether he wants you to use the 'proper' French terms and abbreviations, or be lazy and use the English terms in the French translation.
Whatever you, or your client, choose, you must be consistent: all English or all French.
