solid surfaces Explanation: So the schwimmfähige binding agents can be used for gunge which floats on water and also for oil/chemicals on solid surfaces, e.g. industrial floors, roads, docks, piers, decks, tanks ... At least that's the only sense I can make of it. Either that or they are schwimmfähig after they have absorbed the oil and can therefore be skimmed off the surface after doing their job. Not sure I explained that very well.
