Трехсторонний договор, я вроде бы разобрался о чем речь (несмотря на упоминание компании 1 в пункте договора выше, термин "сторона" относится к компаниям 2 и 3, а термин "стороны" подразумевает компании 2 и 3 вместе ), но на всякий случай решил перестраховаться. не совсем уверен как корректно сформулировать все предложение.

For purposes of this Agreement and the inclusion of "Company 1" in the recital above notwithstanding “party” means each of "Company 2" and "Company 3", and “parties” means collectively, "Company 2" and "Company 3".

"Company 2" has entered into a separate agreement with "Company 1" to provide certain services in connection with the Study, including the obligation to make payments to "Company 3" on behalf of "Company 2".
