Romanian term

influentata

Romanian to English Medical Psychology Autistic child\'s hospital discharge notes
This is in the section of the notes after the small boy's personal and family medical history. The paragraph heading is:

EXAMEN GENERAL:

"....Stare generala influentata. afebril, stare de nutritie deficitara, constienta pastrata, T 131cm (p10), G 21 k"

"General condition ?????" I have no idea what the idea here is. Obviously a literal translation would not work, as influenced needs a preposition and a noun following it.

@ Manuela Exactly. You are saying the "stare" is "influentata", and Erzsebet is saying the subject of the phrase is "influentata". This is what I mean when I say you are both referring to different things. I think it is safer to apply the term to "stare" here, I think it is "stare influentata".
So the persons "condition is impaired" maybe.

@ Erzsebet You have misunderstood me. I was pointing out the use of adjectives because your answer uses an adjective to describe the subject, while Manuela was using one to describe the noun, which looks like the way the Romanian is worded, i.e. the "stare" is "influentata", not the person - I am not trying to translate literally (I have been a professional translator for over 6 years), I am talking about what "influentata" relates to.

literally you would say overall condition of a person affected by, diseased of, suffering of etc. but it is too literal and does not worth to try.

Dear Lara As a linguis I am fully aware what is the difference between a noun and an adjective.
As a translator I fully suggest you do not trying to translate everything literally, word-by-word because it is impossible.
This is not the first time I try to suggest it. The translation of the medical texs has its specific "taste"m wording, country by country. You transfer the meaning not the words. You may gain a lot but in this case you just lose - your time.

"..condition of impaired person" is using "influentata" as a description of the person.

@Lara or used as a reference to the person? - ooooops! is there any mention that the impaired person was escorted by his/her guardian? Usually (I do translations for Paralymipcs Commitee) there is a sentence (the mentally impaired person to be examined was escorted by ...)

@ Manuela I think this could be correct in Italian, the problem is that the translation from Italian to English may not be as literal. There are often standard formulaic terms used, that are composed of non-literal meanings due to their usage over time.

Both answers below are contradictory in their use of "influentata". One uses it as an adjective, describing the worsening condition of the patient (Alice's answer), and Erzsebet's answer seems to be using it as a noun (impaired person).
What do you think it is being used as? (i.e. is it describing the person's condition, or used as a reference to the person?)

If they are right (because I can't find any reference to confirm it) than it could be - Impaired general condition.
