Context: De acordo com a acusação, ao não terem sido adequadamente refletidos nas contas os resultados da sociedade, que em alguns anos seriam mesmo negativos, encontrando-se os mesmos sobreavaliados e sendo a componente variável das remunerações dos administradores calculada em função dos resultados alcançados pelo banco, os ex-administradores terão obtido para si benefícios indevidos (cerca de € 24 milhões, na totalidade, de acordo com o relatório pericial da Polícia Judiciária).Além disso, a acusação foi também deduzida contra um quinto ex-administrador. Este quinto ex- administrador não foi pronunciado e a pronúncia deixou de fora o crime de burla qualificada.

I am confused as to the meaning. Normally I would believe "pronunciado" would be indicted, if this is correct, then one sentence states that "The indictment was also filed against a fifth former administrator" and the following sentence states: "This fifth former administrator was not indicted."

Hi Neal! I'm not a native speaker of Portuguese. However I have some experience translating from Portuguese to English.
Look at this: (Taken from the Dicionário Priberam da Língua Portuguesa [em linha], 2008-2013, https://www.priberam.pt/DLPO/PRONUNCIA):
"PRONUNCIAR",[Jurídico, Jurisprudência] Dar despacho de pronúncia contra (alguém)

"PRONUNCIA", Despacho judicial indiciando alguém como autor ou cúmplice de crime.

So I would say INDICTED is in the right direction.
