Spanish term
H.S., NP1, NP2
Spanish to English
Other
Education / Pedagogy
transcript from Colombia
These are column headings for a high school transcript from the Institución Educativa La Paz, La Ceja, Colombia.
Área/Materia ... H.S. ... NP1 ... NP2 ... Desempeño ... Faltas
Area/Subject ... Horas semanales? ... Nuevo Período 1, 2??? Performance ... Absences (my translation of headings)
Math, etc. ... Numbers 1-7 ... 3.1 - 5.0 ... 3.2 - 5.0 ... Alto, básico, superior (data in these columns)
I'm not sure horas semanales is correct for H.S., since there are a lot of "ones." The larger numbers are seemingly a total of the numbers corresponding to subjects under a category (eg., physics 3, chemistry 3, biology 1 = 7 Natural Sciences & environment).
I suppose the NP1 and NP2 are referring to academic semesters, but I don't know what the initials stand for. There is a gradepoint for every line under both columns. It shows a total of 62, but if you add the numbers for every line that isn't a total, that comes to about 38. Divide this by 5 school days weekly would be just under 8 hours (that would be long school days).
I put these together instead of separate questions so you can see how they relate to each other.
Thanks for your help!
P.S. I had put extra spaces between the column headings and line of translation, but when it shows a review before posting, I see that the computer removed them. So they don´t line up nicely like I had typed them. Hopefully the dots I added between them will help.
