I have scoured the web for examples of this exact expression to no avail. It looks like a mistake to me, but then again the grammar in documents written by notaires is not always clear or easy to understand.
Has anyone ever come across this, or something similar that would help to make sense of it? I would ask the notaire in question, but she never responds!

Excerpt from a "Procuration de vente":

DECHARGE DE MANDAT
A la suite de ces opérations, le mandataire sera bien et valablement déchargé de tout ce qu’il aura effectué en vertu du présent mandat sans qu’il soit besoin à cet égard d’un écrit spécial, et cela vaudra pour le ** mandant ratification de l’acte**.
