Spanish term or phrase: rasgos diferenciales del imaginario colectivo infantil
The context of my phrase is the following and it appears in an article about literature and the renewal of a large number of classic tales:
¿es posible que un emisor adulto dé con el código adecuado para conectar con el receptor infantil?
Esta pregunta propiciaba una nueva manera de trabajar, no basada en un mundo infantil idílico sino creada a partir de la voluntad de querer identificar rasgos diferenciales del imaginario colectivo infantil, enmarcado en un tiempo concreto: la época que vivimos. Obviamente, había que dotar a este tipo de literatura, cuando menos en lo que respecta a la imagen gráfica, de una contemporaneidad rotunda.

I don't really know how to translate Imaginario as a noun? the imagination? the way the imagination works? Can anyone who may be familiar with it help me with the term? Many thanks!

Hi Robert,

Yes - I understand it as a noun ... perhaps you might like to consider something along the lines of 'different traits in collective infant imagination.'(or 'collective imagination of the infant universe...' if you have room for creativity!)
