Spanish term

contingencias

Spanish to English Bus/Financial
This is a heading in a Mexican financial statement. Context:
"contingencias e inversiones".
Context would render useless the usual meanings of contingencias, risks, or hazards. Any ideas? Can this word mean simply "funding"?
Thanks

client response The client says that "contingencies" doesn't
makes sense in this context, due to the
companies listed under the heading. It
would appear to be companies which make
some type of financial contribution to
the company in question. Thus the dilemma.

Definitely cannot be funding. Contingencies does exist and would be something you see on a financial statement.

BTW, you hit Swahili rather than Spanish. If you want more replies, you might want to resubmit.
