I freely confess my knowledge of what "maroufler" means relates to wallpapering (smoothing out the paper to remove air bubbles), but a quick google search confirms that the above expression exists.

neutral B D Finch : When one stretches paper on a board, it is only attached at the edges and is latter removed. I think if it is "marouflé" it is permanently laminated onto board.
