If you want it in a legal context, it should possibly be 'redress/redressal/seeking redress'.

This is a considered guess.

Though, I would like to add that 'remediation' or 'mediation' in English might make sense, but I harbour doubts about their making sense in a legal framework.

Explanation:
This is a strange one. Instinctively it feels like it has to come from "remedier" which I think it does. No classic dico indications. However, a websearch gave lots of hits which seem to be primarily related to two fields :
chemistry/physics and educational.

With regard to the former lots of sites indicating that the rpoblem of asbestos ("amiante") in public buildings can be remedied by taking x course of action.
There is the Observatoire Nationale de la Remdéiation Amiante : www.lobservatoire.org

As to the latter, then lots of indications that it can relate to remdial teachnig to support students who are in difficulty. See : www.inrp.fr/recherche/action/rec90510.htm

None of that has anything to do with the law and none of the first few hits I had suggested anything outside these contexts. However, safe in the knowledge that the word does exist, is used and the assumption that there is no real reason that it might not be applied to other contexts, then why not "remedial action", "remedial support", "remedial assistance".
