"Pedagogy: The art or profession of teaching"

The American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language

Pedagogy is rarely used in English, it can be translated as \"teaching\" or \"education\".

This is borne out by the fact that the academic qualification is called a \"teaching degree\" in English, e.g.

\"Start your teaching degree at Colorado Mountain College\"

Por supuesto que es válido el término \"pedagogy\" pero el que te doy es el que se usa: \"education\".

teaching methods

"Pedagogy" may also be used with the same meaning, but is less common -- it is more likely to be used in a more abstract sense, i.e. to mean the general science of teaching (i.e. not just teaching methods, but teaching methodology.

However, the root is more common in its adjectival form: "pedagogical". E.g. a book may be described as a pedagogical text, meaning that it is to be used for something like classroom instruction.
