I lived in Madrid, Spain for 7 years. This being the case, my knowledge of Spanish in most specializations is very good.
I have excellent knowledge of all Business Functions and Information Technology and Public Administration having both studied the subjects and worked in the industries for 7 years.
At present, I am a full-time Secondary school teacher in Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and I translate part-time.
Since leaving Spain, three years ago, I have continued to maintain the standard of my Castillian Spanish from many media sources including reading, writing, listening and speaking, as well as attending classes.
During my time in Spain, I taught English language to native Spaniards. In this way, I did not lose my English, indeed quite the contrary, I gained much by constant practice and reference work and reading, as well as gaining an appreciation for translation by working constantly with Spanish.
