French term

respiration du mois

French to English Marketing Marketing / Market Research brand communication
On a table of action points for expanding brand communication. Other points include "Your experience", "Promotional news", "Tip of the Day".

There are no clues as to what kind of communication might be included under this heading.

I was wondering about something like "Thought of the month".

Many thanks

You can't possibly translate a header - no matter how inspired you might be - without knowing what it refers to!

In your shoes, I'd definitely ask the client/agency or whoever
Angie Taylor (asker) Oct 14, 2013:
No, there are no clues. I found this online which made me think of maybe "thought" or Jane's "reflection", though inspiration would fit there too!
Daryo Oct 14, 2013:
if it's not "inspiration", is there any clues elsewhere what "respiration" could mean in their internal jargon (it's pretty obviously a nonsense in the usual/normal meaning of "respiration")
Angie Taylor (asker) Oct 14, 2013:
One of the other points is "Inspiration ***" (*** is the brand name)
Brechen MacRae Oct 14, 2013:
I think Daryo is right. 'inspiration du mois'
Daryo Oct 14, 2013:
inspiration du mois?

This month's breather/break

I'm not sure what they're featuring under their "respiration," but it sounds like some kind of a break, "the pause that refreshes," etc. So, yes, a thought, but one that is being offered as a extra.

Thanks Miranda
agree Marian Vieyra : Not sure about break, but I like your construction best. This month's xxxx, not xxxx of the month.

Monthly contemplation / observation

Maybe something more suggestive would sound better than a literal translation, which would probably not mean much in the context.
